Myriki (Μυρίκη ) Evrytania
Myriki is a mountainous village in the prefecture of Evrytania. It is built in a dense fir forest, at an altitude of 1,120 meters on the slopes of Mount Neraidovouni, opposite Mount Tymfristos[1]. It is 10 km. from Karpenisi[1].
Myriki belongs to the Municipality of Karpenisi and its population, according to the 2011 census, is 61 inhabitants. Until 1927 it was called Myrisi [2].
The village suffered destruction during the Revolution of 1821 and during the Occupation in World War II. The oldest church in the village is that of Agia Paraskevi from 1816. East of the village is the chapel of Prophet Elias. Other churches are: Agios Georgios and Agios Konstantinos.
