Ampelia (Αμπέλια ) Evrytania
Ampelia is a semi-mountainous village in the prefecture of Evrytania at an altitude of 400 meters[2], located southeast of the artificial lake of Kremasta and west of the Krikeliotis River. It is 37 km. SW. from Karpenisi, 64 km. NE. from Agrinio and 3 km. SW. from Agia Vlacherna (old Erkista)[3]. It was first recognized as a settlement in 1928 and initially belonged to the prefecture of Aitoloakarnania[4]. According to the Kallikratis plan, together with Agia Vlacherna and Vamvakies, it forms the local community of Agia Vlacherna, which belongs to the municipal unit of Karpenisi of the Municipality of Karpenisi and, according to the 2011 census, has a population of 126 inhabitants[5].
