Sights

The Monastery of Agios Ioannis Prodromos (Lykotrichi or Myrkos) which, today, functions as a parish church. According to the historian Aravantinos, the monastery was built in 1508 by the Apsarades monk brothers, while according to the historian Soulis, in 1454. The interior of the main church is recorded with frescoes that seem to belong to two eras, with the oldest dating back to around the 17th century. Also noteworthy is the wooden carved iconostasis of the monastery which is adorned with two post-Byzantine despotic icons
The church of the Panmegiston Taxiarches at the northern entrance of the village. According to an inscription on the top, it was built in 1872 on top of a pre-existing ancient temple. The interior is decorated with later hagiographies, as it was renovated in 1988.
The church of Prophet Elias in the NE. of the village, on the road leading to the location "Kalouta", with a panoramic view of Lake Ioannina
