Agia Marina (Αγία Μαρίνα) Kavala
Agia Marina is a seaside settlement in the Municipality of Pangaio in the Prefecture of Kavala, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. According to the 2011 census, its population is 5 residents[1].
General information
Agia Marina is built next to the Thessaloniki - Kavala National Road, between Elaiochori Beach and Agios Athanasios, at an altitude of 5 meters[2], in a seaside area. It is located 26 km southwest of the city of Kavala and 5 km from Nea Peramos.
It was officially mentioned as a settlement in 1971, when it was annexed to the then community of Nea Peramos[3]. Later it was subordinated to the Kapodistrian municipality of Eleftheron[4], while according to the Kallikratis program, together with Nea Peramos and Agios Athanasios it forms the municipal community of Nea Peramos of the municipal unit of Eleftheron of the municipality of Pangaio.
