Agia Marina (Αγία Μαρίνα) Korinthia
Agia Marina is a lowland settlement in the municipality of Corinthia, in the Regional Unit of Korinthia in the Peloponnese. According to the 2011 census, its population is 110[2].
General information
Agia Marina is located in the center of the former prefecture of Corinthia, 12 km west of Corinth. The village is built on the plain of Vocha, at an altitude of 35 meters[3], between the old Athens - Patras National Road (National Road 8) and Olympia Odos (at the Zevgolatio junction). Next to it and to the west is Zevgolatio, to the northeast is Assos and to the south is Zevgolatio station of line 2 of the Suburban Railway[4].
Agia Marina is first recorded separately in the 1971 census as part of the community of Assos[5], with 49 residents[6]. Later it was placed under the Kapodistrian municipality of Assos-Lechaios[6], while according to the Kallikrates plan, together with Assos and Veliniatika it belongs to the municipal community of Assos of the homonymous municipal unit of Assos of the enlarged municipality of Corinth[2].
