Livadi (Λιβάδι) Arta
Livadi is a settlement in Epirus in the Regional Unit of Arta.[1][2]
General information
Livadi is located towards the border with the Regional Unit of Ioannina and is built at the foot of the Athamanika Mountains (Tzoumerka) at an altitude of 400 meters.[1] It is approximately 22 km W-NW. from Voulgareli (seat of the municipality), 39 km N-NE. from Arta and 68 km S-SE. from Ioannina while next to and northwest of the village is Elafopídima and further north is Ramia, of which it is considered a settlement[3].
It is officially mentioned for the first time in 1940, being registered in the community of Ramia.[4] According to the "Kallikratis" program and its amendment by Cleisthenes I, together with Gerovrysi, Elafopidama, Dara and Ramia constitute the Community of Ramia,[5] which belongs to the Municipal Unit of Agnanta of the Municipality of Central Tzoumerka and according to the 2011 census has a population of 25 inhabitants.[6]
