Trovato (Τροβάτο) Evrytania
Trovato is a settlement in Central Greece in the Regional Unit of Evrytania.[1][2][3]

General
Trovato is built at an altitude of 1,060 meters on the slopes of Agrafa and the peak of Delidimi[4][1], making it one of the most mountainous villages in Evrytania. Trovato belongs to the Kallikratiko municipality of Agrafa. It is approximately 76 km. N.-NW. from Karpenisi[4] and 38 N. from Kerasochori (seat of the municipality) and is the northernmost village of the municipality of Agrafa as well as the entire Evrytania.
It is the only village in the area that has an asphalted ergional road, but the surrounding areas do not, in most villages of the municipality of Agrafa.[5]
It was formerly one of the largest villages in Agrafa and the main occupation of the inhabitants was livestock farming. The Agrafiotis River originates from the area of Trovatos and Vraggiana. The settlements of the village are Agios Dimitrios, Agioi Theodoroi, Agios Athanasios, Chiono, and Kavakia.
At the 2011 Census, the village had a population of 108 residents.[6] The population variation of the village is as follows:[7]
Year 1889 1900 1961 1991 2001 2011
Pop. 447 594 329 132 346 108
Sights
South of the "Kleftogianni" ridge, there is the chapel of Panagia, with remarkable frescoes from 1644, where Eugenios Giannoulis the Aitolokan studied for four years (1614-1618).[8]
Agios Dimitrios is the first settlement (lower mahala) from the entrance to the village. There is the homonymous church of 1450, where a piece of the Holy Cross is kept. As a marble plaque testifies, the church hosted the Pedagogical School of Sterea (School of National Resistance) of the P.E.E.A. (National Liberation Political Committee) in August - September 1944.[9]
Trovato also houses a Folk Art Museum.[10]
The Captured Land or the Bridge of Love is located in the Trovatiano stream near Kakia Skala. It is a strange geological phenomenon. It seems that over the years the slopes of the gorge were joined above the river flow.
