Ampelakia (Αμπελάκια ) Rhodopi
Ampelakia is a small coastal settlement of Thrace in the Rhodope Regional Unit and the municipality of Maroneia-Sapon[1] at an altitude of 6 meters[2]. It is located on the coast of the Thracian Sea, next to the port of Imeros at a distance of 40 km. SW. from Sapes (seat of the municipality), 26 km. S. from Komotini and approximately 4 km. S. from Imeros. As a separate settlement, it was officially mentioned for the first time in 2001, being enumerated in the then Local Department of Imeros of the municipality of Maroneia.[1] According to the "Kallikratis" Program, together with Imeros, it forms the local community of Imeros, which falls under the municipal unit of Maroneia of the Municipality of Maroneia-Sapon and according to the 2011 census, 6 residents were enumerated.[3]
