Ano Myxorrouma (Άνω Μυξόρρουμα) Rethymno
Ano Myxorrouma is a village in the Community of Myxorrouma, the municipal unit (former municipality) of Lambi, the municipality of Agios Vasilios, the regional unit (former prefecture) of Rethymno, in the region of Crete, according to the Kallikratis program. [2][3] Before the Kapodistrias plan and the Kallikratis program, it belonged to the Agios Vasilios district of the prefecture of Rethymno, in the geographical department of Crete. [4][5]
Geographical data
Ano Myxorrouma is a semi-mountainous village in the southwestern part of the prefecture of Rethymno. It is located on a small plateau between the mountains Kouroupa and Xiro, west of Spili and at an average altitude of 350 meters. It is approximately 28 km south of Rethymno. [4][5][6][7][8]

Administrative changes until "Kallikratis"
The settlement was recognized in 1951 and annexed to the community of Myxoruma(-tos) of the prefecture of Rethymno. With the Government Gazette 244A - 04/12/1997 it was detached from the community and annexed to the municipality of Lambi. With the Government Gazette 87A - 07/06/2010 it was detached from the municipality of Lambi and annexed to the municipality of Agios Vasilios. [3]
