Agia Pelagia (Αγία Πελαγία ) Rethymno
Agia Pelagia is a village in the community of Myxorrouma, in the municipal unit (former municipality) of Lambi, in the municipality of Vasiliou, in the regional unit (former prefecture) of Rethymno, in the region of Crete, according to the Kallikratis program.[1][2] Before the Kallikratis program and the Kapodistrias plan, it belonged to the province of Agios Vasiliou of the prefecture of Rethymno, in the geographical department of Crete.[3][4]
Geographical information
Agia Pelagia is a semi-mountainous settlement in the west-central part of the prefecture of Rethymno. It is located near Spili and at an average altitude of 360 meters. It is approximately 25 km. S. of Rethymno.[3][4][5][6][7]

Administrative changes until "Kallikratis"
The settlement was attached to the community of Myxorrouma since 1925. With the Government Gazette 244A - 04/12/1997 it was detached from the community of Myxorrouma and attached to the municipality of Lambi. With the Government Gazette 87A - 07/06/2010 it was detached from the municipality of Lambi and attached to the municipality of Agios Vasilios.[2]
Sightseeing
The church of Osia Pelagia in the center of the settlement, from which it took its name. Ecclesiastically it belongs to the 1st Archdiocese of the Holy Metropolis of Lambi, Syvritos and Sfakia.
