Analipsi (Ανάληψις) Aitoloakarnania
Analipsi (official name: "Analipsis") is a large mountainous settlement in the Prefecture of Aitoloakarnania, it is the seat of the homonymous Local Community, and according to the "Kallikratis Program" since 1/1/2011 it belongs to the enlarged Municipality of Thermos[2][3]. During the period 1997-2010, based on the "Kapodistrian Plan", it was the seat of the homonymous former Municipal District of the "Kapodistrian" Municipality of Thermos[2][3][4][5].
Location
The village is located within a short distance from Lake Trichonida, in an area southeast of it, being built at an altitude of approximately 565 to 615 meters with a panoramic view of the lake, and close to it are, beyond Thermo which is the administrative center of the area, the villages of Gefyra Bania, Flesourias, Dounaiika, Kaloudi, Marathoula, Petrochori, Kamemina Ampelia, Avarikos, Koftra, Metochi, Paliouria, Pini and Poros while in close proximity are Sitaralona, Pamfio, Marathias and Kato Makrinou[6]. Also in close proximity are the residential sites of Despotis and Kourmeki as well as the abandoned settlement of Morosklavos[6]. It is 44.5 km from Agrinio via the route north of Lake Trichonida or 49 km. via the route south of Lake Trichonida, from Nafpaktos 27.5 km. while the Holy Monastery of Prousos is 55 km away by road.
Historical information
It is one of the villages of the historical region of Apokorou. Until 1928 it was called "Dervekista", when with the Government Gazette 81A of 14/05/1928 it took its current name[2], similarly the then Community[4][7].

The local community of Analipsi is characterized as a rural mountainous settlement, with an area of 35.531 km² (2011). It also includes the settlements of Kaemina Ampelia, Koftra, Liareika, Livadi, Marathoula, Metochi, Paliouria and Flesourias.[8]
