Chrysovitsa (Χρυσοβίτσα) Aitoloakarnania
Chrysovitsa is a semi-mountainous village of Central Greece in the Aitoloakarnania Regional Unit.[2]
Geographical information
Chrysovitsa is located east of Lake Trichonida at an altitude of 660 meters[2], just 7 km. E. from Thermo, 37 km. SE. from Agrinio and 49 km. N.-NW. from Nafpaktos[3]. The few permanent residents of the village are mainly engaged in agriculture, livestock farming and beekeeping. It has stone-built houses, four (4) beautiful churches, a folklore museum (former Primary School), cafes-grills, a large paved square and a pleasant climate.

It was established as a community in 1912 with the Government Gazette 261A - 31/08/1912 with the detachment of the settlement of Chrysovitsa from the municipality of Pamfia and the settlement was designated as its seat[4]. According to the Kallikratis plan, together with Dokimia and Roggia, it forms the local community of Chrysovitsa, which falls under the Municipality of Thermo and according to the 2011 census has a population of 91 residents[5].
