Alonia (Αλώνια ) Arta
Alonia is a village in the local community of Sellades, in the municipal unit (former municipality) of Kompoti, in the municipality of Nikolaos Skoufas, in the regional unit (former prefecture) of Arta, in the region of Epirus, according to the Kallikratis program.[1][2] Before the Kapodistrias plan and the Kallikratis program, it belonged to the province and prefecture of Arta, in the geographical department of Epirus.
Geography
Alonia is a lowland village in the southern part of the prefecture of Arta. It is located in the plain of the Louros River, on the Antirrio-Ioannina National Road (EO 951) and next to the Egnatia Motorway (A 5), near and west of Kompoti, at an average elevation of 30. It is approximately 12 km SE of Arta.[3][4][5]

Administrative changes until "Kallikratis"
The settlement was recognized in 1991 and was annexed to the community of Sellades in the prefecture of Arta. With the Government Gazette 244A - 04/12/1997 it was detached from the community of Sellades and annexed to the municipality of Kompoti. With the Government Gazette 87A - 07/06/2010 it was detached from the municipality of Kompoti and annexed to the municipality of Nikolaos Skoufas.[2]
Note
In the same Regional Unit but in the Municipality of Georgios Karaiskakis there is the synonymous settlement of Alonia Milianos.
