Alonia (Αλώνια) Evoia
Alonia is a lowland village on the border of central and southern Evoia, in the Regional Unit of Evoia[2][3] which is located on the coast of the Aegean Sea at an altitude of 40 meters[4]. It is 17 km. E.-SE. from Aliveri (seat of the municipality) and 63 km. E.-SE. from Chalkida. To its south is Koskina, to the west is the lake / wetland of Dystos while in the same direction passes the EO 44 (Aliveri - Karystos section). Their old name is Gourthi and thus they are listed as a separate settlement for the first time in 1961 to be registered in the then community of Petrion, while they were renamed Alonia in 1962 with the Government Gazette 210A - 13/12/1962.[5] According to the program, Kallikratis together with Koskina form the local community of Koskina, which falls under the municipal unit of Distia in the Municipality of Kymi - Aliveri and according to the 2011 census has a permanent population of 92 residents[6].
