Agiasmata (Αγιάσματα) Chios
Agiasmata (Keramos) is a settlement in the local community of Keramos, in the municipal unit of Amani, in the municipality of Chios, in the regional unit (former prefecture) of Chios, in the North Aegean region, according to the Kallikratis program.[2][3]
Before the Kapodistrias plan and the Kallikratis program, it belonged to the province and prefecture of Chios, in the geographical department of the Aegean Islands.[4][5]
Geographical data
Agiasmata (Keramos) is a settlement in NW Chios, on the west side of the Lefkantria stream and at an average elevation of 15 meters. The settlement is located on the west side of the "twin" settlements with the general name "Agiasmata", as the eastern side is occupied by Agiasmata (Leptopodon). They are approximately 60 kilometers northwest of Chios town.[4][5][6][7][8]

Administrative changes until "Kallikratis"
The settlement was recognized in 1961 and was annexed to the Keramos community
With the Government Gazette 244A - 04/12/1997 it was detached from the Keramos community and annexed to the municipality of Amanis
With the Government Gazette 87A - 07/06/2010 it was detached from the municipality of Amanis and annexed to the municipality of Chios

Thermal springs
The settlement, as well as its synonym (of the community of Leptopoda), is well known in Chios due to the thermal mineral springs that gush forth in the area. Specifically, the water of one (1) of them, which is characterized as hyperthermic, isotonic and chlorsodium, has a temperature of 68.6˚C and contains in 1 kilogram the following compounds: Sodium Nitrite 0.00924, Ammonium Chloride 0.0901, Lithium Chloride 0.0248, Sodium Bromide 0.00605, Sodium Iodide 0.00001, Potassium Chloride 0.5455, Sodium Chloride 5.8891, Calcium Chloride 0.0711, Calcium Sulfate 0.2265, Calcium Bicarbonate 0.4864, Strontium Bicarbonate 0.0100, Magnesium Bicarbonate 0.0842, Iron Hydrocarbonate 0.00064, Manganese Hydrocarbonate 0.00013, Metasilicic Acid 0.0868, Metaboric Acid 0.00073, Free Carbon Dioxide 0.0603 and Free Oxygen 0.00027

Due to the thermal springs, there are notable hydrotherapy facilities, which currently operate only in the summer.[8][9][10]
