It is officially mentioned, after the liberation of Thessaly, in 1883 with its old name from the Turkish occupation as Serantzi, being annexed to the municipality of Feron and in 1912 being designated as the seat of the homonymous newly founded community. In 1928 it was renamed Perivlepton.[2] According to the Kallikrates program and its amendment by Kleisthenes I, together with Agios Dimitrios, Eleftherochorio, Kokkaleika and Kokkina, it forms the community of Aerinos[3] which falls under the Municipal Unit of Fera of the Municipality of Rigas Feraios and according to the 2011 census, 266 residents were registered.[4]
