Krania (Κρανιά) Karditsa
Krania is a very small settlement of Koumpouriana and the Municipality of Argithea[1] in Thessaly and the Regional Unit of Karditsa, located at the foot of Mount Karavas at an altitude of 820 meters.[2] It is approximately 14 km. S.-SE. from Anthiro (seat of the municipality) and 5 km. NE. from Koumpouriana. It was officially mentioned as a separate settlement for the first time in 1971, being listed in the community of Koumpouriana. According to the Kallikratis program and its amendment by Kleisthenis I, together with Koumpouriana, Dafni, Stavros and Moni Spilias, it constitutes the homonymous community[3] which falls under the municipal unit of East Argithea of the municipality of Argithea, while according to the 2011 census, it had 5 residents.[4]
