Stavros (Σταυρός) Karditsa

Stavros is a very small settlement of Koumpouriana and the Municipality of Argithea in the Regional Unit of Karditsa[1] which is located at the foot of Mount Koukourelos in the Northern Agrafa at an altitude of 935 meters[2]. It is approximately 78 km W.-S.W. from Karditsa, 18 km. S.-SE. from Anthiro (seat of the municipality) and 2 km. S. from Koumpouriana. It was officially mentioned as a separate settlement for the first time in 1991, being registered in the community of Koumpouriana. According to the Kallikrates program and its amendment by Kleisthenis I, together with Koumpouriana, Krania and Moni Spilias, they constitute the homonymous community[3] which falls under the municipal unit of East Argithea of ​​the municipality of Argithea, while according to the 2011 census, 6 residents were registered[4].
