Goura or Gkoura (Γκούρα) Preveza
Goura is a settlement in Epirus and the Regional Unit of Preveza.[1][2]
General information
Goura is located on the northeastern border with the Regional Unit of Arta on the western slopes of Mount Xerovouni at an altitude of 680 meters.[2] It is approximately 2 km E. (by road) from Neos Gorgomylos, 34 N. from Filippiada (seat of the municipality) and 25 km NW. of Arta. West of the village is Neos Gorgomylos while further west passes the Ionia Odos.
It is officially mentioned as a separate settlement for the first time in 1940, being registered in the then community of Gorgomylos.[3] According to the "Kallikratis" Program, it belongs to the community of Gorgomylos, which falls under the Municipal Unit of Filippiada, in the municipality of Ziros, and according to the 2011 census, it has a population of 22 inhabitants[4].
