Xirokampos (Ξηρόκαμπος) Preveza
Xirokampos is a settlement in Epirus and the Regional Unit of Preveza.[2][3]
General information
Xirokampos is located on the northeastern border with the Regional Unit of Arta and on the southwestern slopes of Mount Xerovouni at an altitude of 400 meters.[2] It is approximately 3 km. S. from Neos Gorgomylos, 17 km. N.-NE. from Filippiada (seat of the municipality) and 29 km. N.-NW. from Arta, while the Ionian Highway passes to the west of the village.
It is officially mentioned as a separate settlement for the first time in 1971, being registered in the then community of Gorgomylos.[4] According to the "Kallikratis" Program, it belongs to the community of Gorgomylos, which falls under the Municipal Unit of Filippiada, in the municipality of Ziros, and according to the 2011 census, 71 inhabitants are registered[5].
