Almyros (Αλμυρός) Chios
Almyros is a settlement on the island of Chios. It belongs to the local community of Kalamoti, the municipal unit (former municipality) of Mastihochoria, the municipality of Chios, the regional unit (former prefecture) of Chios, in the North Aegean region, according to the Kallikratis program.[2][3] Before the Kapodistrias plan and the Kallikratis program, it belonged to the province and prefecture of Chios, in the geographical department of Aegean Islands.[4] In the 2011 census, the settlement was recorded as having no inhabitants.[2]
Geographical data
Almyros is a coastal settlement in the southeast of Chios. It is located in the central inlet of Kalamoti Bay, between the villages of Komi and Lilikas, at an average elevation of 10 meters. It is approximately 24 kilometres southwest of Chios town.[4][5][6]

Administrative changes up to "Kallikratis"
The settlement was recognised in 1991 and annexed to the municipality of Mastichochoria in the prefecture of Chios. With the Government Gazette 87A - 07/06/2010 the settlement was detached from the municipality of Mastichochoria and annexed to the municipality of Chios.[3]
