The Castle of Grivas (Koulia tou Grivas, or Fortress of Teke), to the north of the village, on a characteristic rock at the left turn of the road to Lefkada. It was built by Ali Pasha in the early 19th century at the "Tekes" location to occupy the Castle of Agia Mavra, but after the occupation of the Ionian Islands by the French, it was given to the Grivas family.[12] It is in fairly good condition and has an excellent view of Lefkada and the surrounding areas.
