Almyriki (Αλμυρίκι) Ilia
Almyriki is a small lowland settlement in Ilia, Greece, built at an altitude of approximately 40 meters, in the valley of the Alisios River. It is located approximately 14.5 kilometers northwest of Ancient Olympia (via Palaiobarvasaina) and approximately 14.5 kilometers northeast of Pyrgos. Its population, according to the 2011 census, is 59 permanent residents[2]. Its residents are mainly engaged in agriculture.
Administrative development
It is a relatively new settlement. It was recognized as such on April 5, 1981 and was subordinated to the then Community of Latzio[3][4]. It was a settlement of it until the abolition of the communities and the re-establishment of municipalities according to the "Kapodistrias Plan"[3][4]. During the administrative reform of "Kapodistrias" it was a settlement of the Municipal district of Latzoi of the Municipality of Oleni[5]. Today it is a settlement of the Local Community of Latzoi of the "kallikratiko" municipality of Pyrgos[6].
