Tritsi [1] or Tritsio [2], officially Tritsion [3], is a semi-mountainous village in Corfu.
Geography - History
Tritsi is located in the northeast of Corfu and the eastern slopes of Pantokrator at an altitude of 340 meters. It is 31 km (driving) N from the city of Corfu and 18.5 km S-SE. from Acharavi. It is built in an area overgrown with trees overlooking the Northern Passage and the mountains of Albania, between Porta (SW), Vigla (SE) and Kokkini (E-NE). It is officially mentioned as a separate settlement in 1940 to be listed in the then community of Sinia [3]. According to the Kallikratis plan, even after its amendment in 2019 [4], it belongs to the local community of Sinias, which belongs to the municipal unit of Kassopaion of the municipality of North Corfu and according to the 2011 census has 24 inhabitants [5].
