Paliaskia (Παλιάσκια ) Larissa
Paliaskia is a small settlement in Thessaly in the Regional Unit of Larissa.[1][2]
General information
Paliaskia is located towards the border with the Regional Unit of Grevena at an altitude of 280 meters.[1] It is approximately 27 km. SW. from Elassona (seat of the municipality) and 53 km. NW. from Larissa while nearby and southwest of the village is Ampelia. It was officially mentioned for the first time as a separate settlement in 1961, being registered in the community of Verdikoussa.[3] According to the Kallikratis program, together with Verdikousa, Ampelia, Koutsoufliani and Paliamela, they constitute the community of Verdikousa, which falls under the Municipal Unit of Verdikousa of the Municipality of Elassona and according to the 2011 census has 39 residents.[4] The population trend according to the censuses is:
