Dasaki (Δασάκι) Grevena
Dasaki, officially Dasakion, is a mountainous village in the regional unit of Grevena at an altitude of 750 meters[1].
Geographical - historical information
Dasaki is located on the northern border with the regional unit of Kozani. It is 21 km northwest of Grevena and 30 km southwest of Siatista. In the Code of Zavorda, its inhabitants are mentioned as dedicators of the Holy Monastery of Agios Nikanoros or Zavorda from 1692 onwards (2nd Letter)[2]. The old name of the village is Paleokopria and thus it is officially mentioned in 1918 in the Official Gazette 260A - 31/12/1918 to be annexed to the then community of Stixachi (Aidonia) which belonged to the prefecture of Kozani. In 1950 with the Government Gazette 208A - 16/09/1950 it was renamed Dasakion. In 1964 with the Government Gazette 185A - 30/10/1964 it was detached to the prefecture of Grevena[3]. The village according to the Kallikratis plan, together with Aidonia, constitute the local community of Aidonia which belongs to the municipal unit of Irakleote of the Municipality of Grevena and according to the 2011 census it has a population of 11 inhabitants[4].
