Chrysodouli (Χρυσόδουλη) Ioannina
Chrysodouli is a settlement in Epirus in the Regional Unit of Ioannina.[1]
General information
Chrysodouli is located next to the Greek border with Albania at an altitude of 520 meters[1]. The village is approximately 60 km. NW. from Ioannina, 27 W.-NW. from Kalpaki (seat of the municipality) and 10 km. NE. from the border station of Kakavia. It is officially mentioned in 1919, after the liberation, in the Government Gazette 184A - 19/08/1919 as being annexed to the then community of Mavropoulo.[2] According to the Kallikrates plan and its amendment by Kleisthenis I, together with Zavrocho and Mavropoulo, they form the community of Mavropoulo[3], which belongs to the municipal unit of Delvinaki in the Municipality of Pogoni and according to the 2011 census had a population of 27 residents[4], while according to the 2001 census it had 33[5].
