Anochori (Ανωχώριον) Larissa
Anochori (official name Anochorion) is a village in the local community of Katochori, in the municipal unit (former municipality) of Enippea, in the municipality of Farsala, in the regional unit (former prefecture) of Larissa, in the region of Thessaly, according to the Kallikratis program.[2][3] Before the Kapodistrias plan and the Kallikratis program, it belonged to the Farsala district of the prefecture of Larissa, in the geographical department of Thessaly.[4][5]
Until 1928, the settlement was called Ano Tsiachmati.[3]
Geography
Anochori is a lowland settlement in the southern part of the prefecture of Larissa. It is located in the plain of Pharsala, near the border with the prefecture of Karditsa and on the provincial road Sofadon-Farsala, on the banks of the small river Farsaliotis (or Tabakos, a tributary of the Enipeas) and at an average altitude of 130. It is approximately 43 km S. S. W. of Larissa.[4][5][6][7][8]

Administrative changes until "Kallikratis"
The settlement was recognized in 1883 as Ano Tsiachmati and was annexed to the municipality of Farsala, Larissa prefecture. In 1928 it was renamed Anochori and in 1929 it was annexed to the community of Katochori. With the Government Gazette 244A - 04/12/1997 it was detached from the community of Katochori and annexed to the municipality of Enippea. With the Government Gazette 87A - 07/06/2010 it was detached from the municipality of Enippea and annexed to the municipality of Farsala.[3]
