Agiopigi (Αγιοπηγή) Karditsa
Agiopigi is a village and seat of the homonymous local community, of the municipal unit, municipality and regional unit (former prefecture) of Karditsa, in the region of Thessaly, according to the Kallikratis program.[1][2]
Before the Kapodistrias plan and the Kallikratis program, it belonged to the province and prefecture of Karditsa, in the geographical department of Thessaly.[3][4]
Until 1927, the settlement was called Deli Ibrahim or Braimi or Zaimi.[2][4][5]
Geography
Agiopigi is a settlement in the center of the prefecture of Karditsa, in the plain below the capital and on the east bank of the Karabalis River, at an average elevation of 130. It is located approximately 6 km south of Karditsa. The local community is classified as a rural lowland settlement, with an area of 8,304 km² (2011).[1][3][4][6][7][8]

As Deli Ibrahim
The settlement was recognized in 1883 and annexed to the municipality of Karditsa in the prefecture of Trikala. In 1899 it passed to the prefecture of Karditsa and, in 1909, back to the prefecture of Trikala. In 1927 it was renamed Agiopigi
As Agiopigi In 1944 it was definitively subordinated to the prefecture of Karditsa
With the Government Gazette 244A - 04/12/1997 it was detached from the community of Agiopigi and annexed to the municipality of Karditsa
