Thouria (Greek: Θουρία, Latinized as Thuria) is a village and a former municipality in Messenia, Peloponnese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Kalamata, of which it is a municipal unit.[1] Its population as of 2001 was 4,106.
Thouria is named after the ancient city of Thouria, parts of the fortifications still are in the region (known as Palaiokastro). The village of Thouria is c. 8 km N of Kalamata.
