Experimenting with jets of water, Leonardo came to understand the effect of air resistance on the
trajectory of cannon balls. He solved the problem by designing projectiles that are incredibly
modern in ther use of aerodynamic shape and directional wings.

Πειραματιζόμενος με πίδακες νερού, ο Λεονάρντο έφθασε στο σημείο να καταλάβει την επίδραση της αντίστασης του αέρα στην τροχιά των βλημάτων των πυροβόλων. Έλυσε το πρόβλημα σχεδιάζοντας βλήματα που είναι απίστευτα σύγχρονα λόγω της χρήσης αεροδυναμικού σχήματος και κατευθυντήριων φτερών.
