Lina Stergiou is a Greek architect [1] and theoretician.

Biography

After studying Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens in Athens (Diploma in Architecture) and continuing with postgraduate studies in Architecture towards Urban Design at Pratt Institute in New York (M.Arch), Stergiou founded LsArchitecture, a design research laboratory. She continued with Doctoral studies in the theoretical exploration of the Architectural Avant-Garde in London (Kingston University) while teaching in diverse geographical and cultural contexts (she is Adjunct Assistant Professor at the National Technical University of Athens, teaching previously at the University of Thessaly Greece and being visiting critic at the architecture schools of McGill University, Laval University, Canada, Architectural Association School of Architecture [2] among others as well as in design seminars in Asia, Europe and America).

Lina Stergiou is an upcoming international architect claiming the value of thinking through acting in spatial design research for tackling innovation, environment and the society.

She edited the book catalogue Revelation [3] for the Greek Cultural Olympiad 2004 along with Maria Theodorou (series editor), Ole Bouman and the Greek Ministry of Culture. Her work has been supported by the Stanley Seeger Fellowship of Princeton University, the Alexander S. Onassis Foundation, the Pratt Institute and the Kingston University. She has delivered a number of talks and lectures among them at Princeton University, Yale University,[4] University Iuav of Venice, Laval University Quebec, the 3rd Busan International Cultural Festiva, Inje University Busan Korea, and Universidade Estadual de Londrina Brazil.
