Salad "Cyprus"

INGREDIENTS

1 Beam lettuce
45-47 almonds
3 slices Cyprus cheese halloumi
1 banana
4-5 olives blacks
6-7 black grapes
Half tomato
1 orange
1 lemon
Little rubbed carrot
Oregano
Smashed toast
Salt
Olive oil
3-4 kiwis (optionally)
1 real rose (optionally)

Implementation

We cut the leaves from the lettuces, we wash it well and we strangle. We cut in small pieces the lettuce and we put it in the base of one elongated plate.

We step it well with grease paper in order to set it and it and spoil the surface.

We take the almonds and shape the form of Cyprus. We place the two triangular slices of Cyprus cheese chaloumi in the place of Troodos mountains and the elongated for the mountain range of Pentadaktylos. We throw smushed toast and oreganon in some places and in the region of Kokkinochoria we put little rubbed carrot.

In the occupied region we fill it with ground fine tomato. This symbolizes the Turkish occupation of a part of Cyprus.

In the west we place small pieces of banana. In winery areas we put berries of black grapes and in the regions near Nicosia and Pafos we place black olives.

We cut the orange and get the juice from half of the orange and pour it in the salad. Also we pour little lemon juice.

Optionally we can use 3-4 kiwis and cover the exterior side of salad as well as certain points in the interior and decorate with genuine rose our salad which however we remove when we will eat it.

Finally we pour the olive oil.

The salt must be put when we plan to eat the salad.

In this salad I tried to include as much as possible products that are produced in Cyprus, so that this salad is a representative picture of Cyprus.

The vegetables, the almonds, the halloumi, the tomatoes, the oregano, the olives, the citrus fruits, the oil, the grapes but also the bananas are in abundance in Cyprus and thus I considered to include these.

Also the toast comes from the wheat that is also one of the important agricultural products of Cyprus.

All these were placed in such a way that they correspond in the regions where is produced each product and it can thus be created gastronomic would say map of Cyprus.
