Γκαλλερία Μποργκέζε

Η Γκαλλερία Μποργκέζε (Galleria Borghese) βρίσκεται στο Casino Borghese της ομώνυμης βίλλας της Ρώμης. Πρόκειται για μικρό σχετικά μουσείο, μοναδικό όμως ως προς τους πίνακες του Καραβάτζο και τα γλυπτά του Μπερνίνι που διαθέτει.

Το ανάκτορο οικοδομήθηκε στις αρχές του 17ου αιώνα από τον αρχιτέκτονα Flaminio Ponzio για τον καρδινάλιο Σκιπίωνα Μποργκέζε, συλλέκτη έργων τέχνης και προστάτη του Μπερνίνι. Ήδη από τον 18ο αιώνα η βίλα ήταν δημόσιο μουσείο και το 1902 αγοράστηκε από το ιταλικό κράτος.
