Dr Elena Theoharous (also spelt Eleni) is a pediatric surgeon, a member of the House of Representatives of Cyprus for the Limassol District,[1] a member of the Democratic Rally,[2] and is the founder of the Cyprus chapter of Médecins du Monde (Doctors of the World).[3] In December 2008, she participated in the Free Gaza Movement attempted boat trip to the Gaza Strip during the December 2008 Gaza Strip airstrikes.[4]
Médecins du Monde
Theoharous founded the Cyprus chapter of Médecins du Monde.[3] As part of her Médecins du Monde role, she "participated in numerous medical, agricultural and environmental missions organised to offer help in many countries and especially in poor African countries devastated by natural disasters or warfare situations."[5]
