Young Aristotle by Charles Degeorge 1875 CE Marble
The prominent right leg of this sculpture looks so muscular and mature it seems as if the upper part of the sculpture was added to a base designed for a different figure. Perhaps the sculptor meant this aspect as a symbol for the future stature of this classical philosopher.
