Saron (Greek Σάρων) was the third king of Troezen in the Eastern Peloponnese region in Greek mythology. He followed Althepos to the throne. The name of his successor has not been passed down. He built a temple for the Saronic Artemis on Lake Psifaean.

According to legend, Saron fell into the Psifaean Sea while hunting a hind and drowned. When his body was found on the beach, it was buried in the Artemis sanctuary by the lake. The gulf in which he drowned was named the Saronic Gulf after him, and the islands in it were named the Saronic Islands. His heroon was thought to be near the Psifaean lake at Kaloni and Metamorphosi. He was worshiped there and on the Bosphorus as a sea demon. [1]

A city [2] and a river [3] in Troizen are said to be named after him. The city of Troezen itself is said to have been called Saronia. [4]
