In Greek mythology, Peratus (Ancient Greek: Πέρατος means "wanderer, emigrant") was a king of Sicyon and son of the sea-god Poseidon and Calchinia. His grandfather, King Leucippus, reared him and at the latter's death handed over the kingdom to him.[1] Peratus became the father of Plemnaeus who succeeded him to the throne of Aegialea (former name of Sicyon).[2]

In some accounts, he was called Eratus (Ἔρατος means "lovely") and the 10th king of Sicyon who reigned for 46 years. However, his predecessor in this account was Messapus.[3]
