Agathyrnus (ancient Greek Ἀγάθυρνος) is a person of Greek mythology.

He is the son of the Aeolean ancestor Aeolus and eponymous hero of the city of Agathyrnon in Sicily. [1] An image of Agathyrnus can be found on a coin found in Tyndaris, on which he is depicted as a warrior with a shield and lance. The coin is dated around the year 344 BC. . [2]
