718. Ameinokleia, daughter of Andromenes. Grave stele. Pentelic marble

Found in the Piraeus. A standing young woman turned to left supports
herself with her right hand on the head of her kneeling attendant, who
helps her put on her sandal. In the background, a pensive standing woman
holds a chest containing the dead woman's jewellery. The horizontal
lintel of the stele's pediment records the name of Ameinokleia, daughter of Andromenes.

Ameinokleia, Tochter von Andromenes. Grabstele. Pentelischer Marmor
Gefunden in Piräus. Eine stehende junge Frau wendet sich nach links stützt
sich mit ihrer rechten Hand auf den Kopf der kniendenen Begleiterin, die
hilfend ihr eine Sandale anzieht. Im Hintergrund, eine nachdenkliche stehenden Frau
hält einen schmuckkasten der Toten . Enthalten als Inschrift
steht der Namen der Ameinokleia, der Tochter des Andromenes.
Zweites Viertel des 4. Jahrhunderts v. Chr.
