Ziropoli (Ζηρόπολη) Preveza
Ziropoli is a settlement in Epirus and the Regional Unit of Preveza.[1]
General information
Ziropoli is located on the border with the Regional Unit of Arta at an altitude of 100 meters[1] and is approximately 8 km. N.-N.W. from Filippiada and 28 km. N.W. from Arta. Southeast of the village is Lake Ziros, east of the Louros Hydroelectric Station and northwest of Rizovouni. It was first officially mentioned as a separate settlement in 1981, being registered in the community of Rizovouni.[2] According to the "Kallikratis" Program and its amendment by Kleisthenis I, together with Rizovouni, they constitute the homonymous community[3] which falls under the municipal unit of Thesprotiko of the municipality of Ziros and according to the 2011 census had a population of 36 inhabitants[4].
