Zervochia (Ζερβόχια) Magnisia
Zervochia is a village in Thessaly in southern Pelion and the Regional Unit of Magnisia[1]
Geographical data
Zervochia is located on the coast of the Pagasitic Gulf at an altitude of 120 meters[2] and is approximately 27 km. SE. from Volos and 16 NW. from Argalasti (seat of the municipality). It is built in an area covered with olive trees east of Koropi and northwest of Afetes. It is officially mentioned as a separate settlement in 1928 to be annexed to the then community of Neochori.[3] According to the Kallikratis program, together with Agios Dimitrios, Afyssos, Neochori, Megali Vrysi and Plaka, it forms the community of Neochori, which falls under the Municipal Unit of Afetes of the Municipality of South Pelion. According to the 2011 census, it has a population of 61 inhabitants.[4]
