Vrysoula (Βρυσούλα, η) Thesprotia
Vrysoula is a semi-mountainous village in the regional unit of Thesprotia at an altitude of 300 meters[1], which is located towards the border of Greece with Albania and the northern foothills of Mount Farmakovouni[2]. It is 16 km. NE. from Filiates and 28 km. N.-NE. from Igoumenitsa. Its old name was "Tseros" and thus it is officially mentioned as a settlement in 1961 to be annexed to the then community of Kato Xechoro. It was renamed Vrysoula in 1964 with the Government Gazette 122A-21/07/1964 [3]. According to the "Kallikratis" Program, together with Kato Xechoro, Potamia, Sitina and Sokolakatika, it forms the local community of Kato Xechoro, which belongs to the municipal unit of Filiates of the municipality of Filiates and according to the 2011 census has a population of 5 inhabitants[4].
