Vrysoula (Βρυσούλα) Evros
Vrysoula is a lowland village in the Evros regional unit, at an altitude of 30 meters[2].
Geography - History
Vrysoula is located next to the Greek-Turkish border and the west bank of the Evros River, at a distance of 36 km. E.-NE. of Alexandroupolis, between the villages of Peplos (NE.) and Ardanio (SW.). It is officially mentioned as a settlement, after the liberation, in 1924 in the Official Gazette 194A-14/08/1924 with the name Tsesmetzik being annexed to the then community of Kipon. In 1928 with the Official Gazette 81A - 14/05/1928 it was renamed Vrysoula[3]. According to the Kallikrates Plan, administratively, together with Kipi, Gemisti and Peplos, it forms the municipal community of Peplos, which belongs to the municipal unit of Feres of the Municipality of Alexandroupoli and according to the 2011 census has 165 inhabitants[4].
