Vounia (Βουνιά) Paros
Vounia is a small settlement in Paros and the South Aegean.[2]
General information
Vounia is located towards the central part of the island at an altitude of about 300 meters[3] while it is about 8 km. SW. from Paroikia (or Chora - the seat and port of the island). It was officially registered for the first time, as a separate settlement in 1961 in the community of Paros.[4] According to the Kallikrates plan and its amendment by Kleisthenis I, it belongs to the community of Paros[5] which falls under the Municipality of Paros while according to the 2021 census it has 20 residents[6].
Note
To the east and nearby is the synonymous settlement of Vounia which however falls under the Community of Lefkada.
