Vlacha (Βλάχα) Trikala
Vlacha is an uninhabited settlement in Thessaly and the Trikala Regional Unit.[1]
General information
Vlacha is located on the slopes of Koziakas at an altitude of 1,116 meters[2], southeast of the Pertouli ski resort. It is approximately 39 km W. from Trikala, 19 km W.-NW. from Pyli (the seat of the municipality) and 5 km NW. from Elati, of which it is considered a settlement[3]. It is a holiday destination in the wider area where many Trikala residents have summer homes.[4]
It was officially listed as a separate settlement for the first time in 1981, being listed in the community of Elati.[5] According to the Kallikratis program, together with Agios Georgios, Vlataneou, Elati, Lipiota and Xylochori, they form the community of Elati[6], which falls under the Municipal Unit of Aithek in the Municipality of Pyli and according to the 2011 census, there are no permanent residents[7].
