Vivari (Βιβάρι) Argolida
Vivari is a seaside village in the municipality of Nafplio in the prefecture of Argolida. According to the 2021 census, its population is 252.
General information
Vivari is built at an altitude of 10 meters southwest of Nafplio[1] and has a natural and protected harbor[2][3] washed by the Argolic Gulf. The settlement is a popular tourist destination and therefore the majority of its residents are mainly engaged in tourism and to a lesser extent in agricultural production. Near Vivari are a lagoon and the beaches of Plaka and Kondyli. The main church of the village is dedicated to Prophet Elias and every year, on the eve of his feast, a local festival is organized. The remaining churches are dedicated to Panagia Lefka and Agios Nikolaos[2][3].
Administratively, Vivari belonged until 1997 to the community of Drepanos in the province of Nafplio. Subsequently (Kapodistrias' program) it was part of the municipality of Asini until 2010[4] and since then it has belonged to the local community of Drepanos in the Kallikratiko municipality of Nafplio.

The settlement was first recognized in 1920 and recorded a strong increase in 1928, however in 1940 it was abandoned. It was recognized again in 1961 and has since recorded a significant population increase.
