Velanidia Marathokampou is a seaside settlement in the Municipality of West Samos[2] in the Aegean Sea.
General information

Velanidia is located on the southern coast of the island and the Marathokampos Bay[3], at an altitude of 9 meters[4] and is approximately 17 km south of Neo Karlovasi (via Marathokampos). To the northwest of the village is Marathokampos, next to and to the west is Marathokampos Bay, while to the north is one of the island's reservoirs[5].

As a separate settlement, it was officially mentioned for the first time in 1991, being listed in the Koumaikos community.[2] According to the Kallikratis program, it belongs to the Marathokampos community, which falls under the Maathokampos Municipal Unit of the Municipality of West Samos, while according to the 2011 census it has 72 residents.[6]
Note

Next to and east of Velanidia is the settlement of the same name Velanidia Marathokampos.
