Varka (Βαρκά) Evrytania
Varka is a mountainous settlement of Central Greece in the Regional Unit of Evrytania[2], which is located to the west of the border with the Regional Unit of Aitoloakarnania. It is built at the southern foot of Mount Analipsi or Tsoukka (1,473 m - part of the Evrytani Agrafa) at an altitude of 510 meters.[3] It is 50 km. NW. from Kerasochori (seat of the municipality), 88 km. NW. from Karpenisi and about 2 km. S.-SE. from Lepiana, of which it was formerly a settlement.[4] It is officially listed as a separate settlement in 1961, being registered in the then community of Lepiana.[5] According to the Kallikratis plan, together with Lepiana and Agios Vlasios, they form the local community of Lepiana, which belongs to the municipal unit of Aspropotamos of the Municipality of Agrafa and according to the 2011 census has a population of 6 inhabitants.[6]
