Tsopela (Τσόπελα) Ioannina
Tsopela is a small mountainous settlement in the Prefecture of Ioannina, part of the Local Community of Pramanta, and according to the "Kallikratis Program" since 1/1/2011 belongs to the Municipality of Northern Tzoumerka[1]. During the period 1997-2010, based on the "Kapodistrias Plan", it belonged to the former Municipality of Pramanta as part of the former municipal district of Pramanta[1][2].
It was formerly called Tsiopola, a name that was corrected to its current one on 16/10/1940[1].
Location
The village is built at an altitude of approximately 857 meters in the northern foothills of Tzoumerka. The villages of Pramanta and Melissourgoi are located close to it, 2 and 4.5 km away respectively. It is 60.5 km away from Ioannina. and 68 km. from Arta.
